Abstract

This is the first of a series of books arising from a research project on "Good practices in the environment, social and economic sectors in the South" which the Thrid World Network has been implementing with the cooperation of the Special Unit for Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries of the United Nations Development Programme. The aim of this project was to identify, collect information and describe practices and experiences by institutins and persons in developing countries that have been successful in solving environment, social and development problems.
